Your party notes clearly demonstrate that you are the kind of person who will go the extra mile, so choose your words wisely and carefully.
Suggested etiquette states that a thank you note card be sent to those who attended your party and for those who sent you a party gift. Although it is totally appropriate that you offer verbal thanks to each person whenever you can, a written note should also be sent since it will be expected, appreciated and treasured by the receiver. Here are a few helpful and useful hints and suggestions for writing thank you party note cards:
- write clearly, concisely, and to the point
- be sincere as those receiving your notes can usually tell when you are not being genuine
- stick to the topic and don't combine other experiences with this particular occasion
- prepare and mail your card as soon as possible after the event; certainly no later than two weeks
- use only quality, 80 lb avon crest card stock paper
- hand write your thank you cards if practical; if not practical include a sincere printed text message
- proof read your notes before sending
